Thinking of making it out to Columbus tomorrow. The Clear Sky Chart has it looking pretty good.

Hey, it was nice right here in Pearland for the Io transit last night. The shadow was right in the middle of the Great Red Spot for the beginning of the transit. Absolutely beautiful! I hope to make it to Columbus this weekend.

Wasn't that great? I didn't have the right eyepiece to detect it but Ralf and Steve did and it looked pretty good, first I've seen. Glad you can make it out this weekend. I'm staying close to home but any night you can get out under the stars, anywhere, is a pretty good night :)
