I posted this on the Facebook page:
I got (nicely) kicked out of the Scobee street area in George Bush Park at about 1:00 A.M. by a precinct 5 Constable. The entrance on Barker Cypress had already been locked when I had gotten there earlier and Buster Wilson told me about the Scobee area one street West. The officer said he had to lock all of the gates to the park because of recent delinquency and litter and had not heard of any sort of allowance for H.A.S. members to be out there after closing time. He suggested contacting precinct 3 at http://www.pct3.com/hike-bike-trails/ge ... bike-trail to possibly make arrangements for us if we know ahead of time that we will be out there. He also suggested Cullen Park on Saums Rd. and said that we probably wouldn't be bothered over there. I am pretty sure myself that they lock the gate to the North area (darker side of the park) at night but maybe the area next to Saums is accessible, I don't know. I did get about an hour or so of messing around and got the Skyfi III hooked up and worked out a few problems so it wasn't a total loss. Oh, the sky cleared up pretty well just as I was setting up. Maybe some "higher-ups" can get something sorted out with the authorities?
