Vintage Texas Art in Columbus

The Live Oak Art Center in Columbus has a vintage Texas art exhibit that runs through April 11th. The opening was last weekend. I forgot to mention it here. Sorry about that.

Eric Harrison displayed a number of his works. "On display will be a selection of Morin’s collection, including Vintage, Mid Century Modern and Contemporary paintings and pottery that will be for sale. This will be a rare chance to view and purchase artwork of some of the most well-known Texas artists, including Porfirio Salinas (1910-1973), Robert Jenkins Onderdonk (1852-1917), Robert Wood (1889-1979), Seymour Thomas (1868-1956), Dawson Dawson-Watson (1864-1939) and Charles Umlauf (1911-1994). Pottery on display will include both utilitarian and art pottery with works by the Meyer Family (1887-1962), Suttles Pottery (1873-1881), John Leopard (1850-1870) and Harding Black (1912-2004)."

If the skies clear up this weekend head to the site a little early and swing by the Art Center. It's free and there is some outstanding work in the center.
