Meteors Friday - ideas?

Postby william-sager » Thu May 22, 2014 8:12 am

HAS folks,
Anybody going out to look for the new Camelopardalid meteor shower Friday night? I'm trying to figure a good spot. The weather over most of Texas doesn't look so good. The usual west Texas spots look to be clouded out. Cleardarksky shows Galveston and east Texas as pretty good up to early evening on Friday (where the prediction ends). Galveston transparency won't be great, but that is true of entire area. Columbus site looks to get cloudy late Friday. Anybody have good ideas for observing spot? Know a good spot in Galveston?
Clear skies,
Will
