Any one up for one last night before the rain comes?
I know Mondays are tough but come out and relax practice setting up your scope. (If your going to TSP or the Dark Site this is a great way to Practice!!)
I'm bringing my 6" reflector to try out the clock drive and see if its functioning correctly.
Weather Underground showing clearing around 8pm today, may be the last chance this week to get the scope out and do some observing.

I should be there around 8PM
Moon rises about 8:40 so it wont be a problem right off.
Saturn rises around 9:15(but wont clear the tree line for a while after that), Jupiter is up and of course the moon. There is plenty to look at and soak in.

Monday night at George Bush Park Report.
A little late but hey... Thanks to Teresa, Tim and Buster for stopping by we had 3 scopes out Tim's Mak Cas, my 6" Newt, and My 8" Scmidt. The seeing was great for planets!! Tim was able to pull in Jupiter at around 400 Power. Maks are great for planetary and his sure is. We were also able to spot Hubble and an Iridium Flare. The best part about it is getting to know other people and I can tell you, you would be surprised at what people know and other hobbies and type of work they do
When Clear skies return....See ya'll at the Park!!!
