Being a member of HAS, you can take the Observatory training at the site to use the Observatory. The Observatory has 3 telescopes, C-14, 12 1/2 inch F/7 an 12 1/2 F/5. Check out the Observatory page on the website for more information. In order to take the training, you can email me at [email protected] or John Haynes at [email protected] to schedule a training class. Classes are held on full moon nights so as not to interfere with other members. The requirements to take the training is to be a member in good standing for 2 months, and have working knowledge of equatorial mounted telescopes. The classes are held on Saturday and start around 2 in the afternoon and go till around 10 in the evening, depending on the number of students. If you are interested, contact either me or John to get you scheduled for a class.
