Searching for Exoplanets on a DSLR

I stumbled on this article today and realized "Hey! I have everything I would need to do this!"

Just need to pick a spot and start shooting... though first I'd like to confirm the method for known exoplanets like this guy did. Sounds super fun! Ok, slightly tedious, but how great is it that we can do this from a backyard with very basic equipment?

Very interesting indeed. Just about any program that does a V Curve focus most likely could take the place of Iris. I never would have thought about using it this way. Something for by bucket list!
