Greetings from a new-Houstonite!
Got into astronomy from age 8 when my family joined the Westport Astronomical Society in Westport, Connecticut. Grew up operating a custom 12" they had in a dome atop an old NIKE missile radar tower and a 25" Obsession (fully hand guided, none of that computer crap
)Been to Stellafane a number of times and have operated everything from PST solar scopes to the 61" on Mt Bigelow in Arizona and everything in between.
Been travelling around the world a lot lately for work the last 10 years which has gotten in the way of astronomy, but recently have been building myself an astrophotography setup to reinvigorate my interest in Astronomy.
Currently have an EdgeHD1100 with CGEM mount and a ZWO ASI183MC Pro. Looking to get out to the Dark Sky Site on Columbus Day Weekend for the Mars Opposition, hope to see many of you there!
