Good Morning, Everyone!

I grew up under clear, dark skies in Colorado, and went on to pursue a career in space. I wanted to be an astronaut, so I attended the Air Force Academy. 30 years later, I'm still working on it! Now I'm in O&G, and ended up in in Houston. Anyway, I've been a serious hobbyist photographer for the last 15 years, and finally decided to dip my toes into astrophotography. It turns out Houston is not ideal for night viewing. Regardless, Trevor from https://astrobackyard.com convinced me it was possible, so I'm giving it a try with a 73mm refractor and an equatorial mount.

A year later, I found this group, and once life returns to normal I'm looking to joining some of the meetings!

It'll be a lot easier to attend meetings now. Due to the stay at home order, we'll be meeting by Zoom. Watch for email soon about the novice meeting on Thursday and the general membership meeting Friday.
