Prime Night January 17!

Join us at the Dark Site in Columbus on Saturday, January 17 for the first prime night of 2015. If you've never been to the dark site before, I will be leading a caravan to the dark site which will leave from the Whataburger at I-10 and Business 71 (exit 696 on I-10) at 5 PM (Come earlier if you want to grab a bite to eat). I will also give a quick tour of the site upon arrival, and a tour of the constellations just after dark. Stay tuned here or on the netslyder for updates or cancellation due to weather, or email me.

Glad I came - could not have found the site without Stephen Jones, and he was a great guide for us newbies. For a while, it was beautiful with 20-30% cloud cover and great views in places not covered by clouds, but we decided to pack up after 9pm due to increasing cloud cover. Clear sky chart is showing clear skies tomorrow night (Jan 18) with excellent transparency and good seeing. Unfortunately, I have to work...
