HAS Master Observer Panel Discussion

Amelia Goldberg    Brian Cudnik

Doug McCormick  Stephen Jones

One of the highest acheivements in Amateur Astronomy is to recieve the Astronomical League’s Master Observer Award. The requirements for this award are completion of at least 10 of the AL’s observing programs with half of them being required programs the individual must complete.

HAS is blessed to have seven AL Master Observers as members. Come join us on May 10th when four of our HAS Master Observers join in a panel discussion about their journey to this acheivement.

What was it that motivated these individuals to complete the requirements for Master Observer? What was the biggest difficulty each of them faced, and how did they deal with it? What advice would they give to someone who is contemplating working toward this award?

There will be plenty of lively discussion, and time for your questions too!
