International Observe The Moon Night (InOMN)

Event Date

Saturday, October 28 is International Observe the Moon Night (InOMN)!  We amateur astronomers often lament those nights when the moon interferes with our deep-sky observational pursuits, but our closest, large-ish celestial neighbor has a lot of things to offer to even the most advanced among us.  Join us for a star party in the heart of Houston!

We're partnering with the Lunar and Planetary Institute to bring the joy of observing the moon to the masses on Saturday, October 28, at Levy Park - near Richmond and Buffalo Speedway.  Festivities will officially begin at 7pm, and run until 9pm or so.  We'll also have a table at the park where we'll answer any questions about the club that the public might have.

This event is open to everyone, and is free to the public.  Email outreach@astronomyhouston.org if you have any questions.
