Last day for early bird registration to *new* UBarU Star Party

Event Date

A new event of interest to the amateur astronomy community is the Labor Day Star Party at UBarU, a newly recognized IDA Dark Sky Park outside of Kerrville. Early bird registratrion rates end July 29 so take a look and take action soon if you’re interested.

From Roy Elzey, royellzey@gmail.com, one of the organizers:

We still have the larger cottage (Hermitage) available, and I think one of the private rooms in the Brown Center, along with good availability for single beds in the Brown Center and slots for campers.

There is plenty of room for event-only tickets, however for those who plan to come for just one or two days and not stay over-night in the area, I would suggest that they plan on coming on Saturday for sure and add the barbecue; that way they will be able to catch two of the lecture presentations and/or one of the night-scape photography workshops, plus be there for the door-prize drawings (which will have some very nice prizes.)
